一には父母に孝あるべし
親に会った時一日に二、三度は笑みて（笑顔で）向える
二には社会に誠実であれ
誠実に作ったものは永遠に壊れない
三には友に合うて礼あるべし
一日十回、二十回あった人でも、千里、二千里、来た人とおもって礼儀を
いささかもおろそかにしてはならない
四には劣れるに逢うて慈悲あれ
我より劣りたらん人をみたら、わが子のように接して あわれみ慈悲あるべし
賢人は四徳を修行せよとなり
